WHAT YOU NEED: A team of six high leveled Pokémon. One of them with the move ‘False Swipe’. I recommend a Scrappy Pangoro/Pancham so you can hit Ghost-Types with False Swipe.
★Leppa Berries/Ethers/Elixirs and Max Potions.
★Shiny Charm is always welcome and you can get it by completing the Alola Dex.
★Adrenaline Orbs. You can buy them in the Pokémon Centers of Hau'oli City, Konikoni City, Malie City, Mount Hokulani, Paniola Town, Pokemon League, etc.
WHAT TO DO: Once you’ve found the Pkmn that you want to chain, hit it with False Swipe and use the Adrenaline Orb in the next turn. This item, when used in battle, makes it more likely for the wild Pkmn to call for help and start a S.O.S. Battle.
★After knowing all the moves of that Pkmn, check out the amount of PP of these moves. If you don’t, then you’ll never know when the Pkmn will run out of PP and it’ll struggle to death.
★Kill all the Allies till a Shiny appears. You can also kill the original Pkmn when you feel like it’s gonna run out of PP, but, please keep in mind that you can kill it ONLY when an Ally is there. That Ally will now become the Original Pkmn and it will call more friends to batle, so, repeat the process: Keep killing allies, Calculate the PP, Kill the original.
★Save YOUR PP! If an Ally doesn’t appear then use that turn to use potions or other items so you don’t use any attack that turn. Use the Leppa Berries or your Elixirs when REALLY needed.
TIPS: To chain Abra you need a Pokémon with Shadow Tag or a Pokémon with Mean Look or Spider Web so it can’t teleport. Don’t TAUNT them. Teleport is the only move they know and if you do so, they’ll struggle and die.
•Do NOT status any Pkmn (Paralyze, etc) if you do, they wont call allies AT ALL
•If you’re planning to chain Drifloon, then I recommend you to use Special Attackers only. Aftermath can be a pain.
•Please be patient. Remember that good things come to those who wait ♥
•Use a Pkmn with DAMP ability (Parasect is perfect because it can learn False Swipe too) if you want to chain Minior. They like to Explode A LOT.
•Passimian, Oranguru, Wimpod and Pokémon you get via QR Gifts cannot be SOS’d
